Welcome to your Gute Frage! 2 Arbeitsbuch. This workbook is a close companion to your Kursbuch. Whenever you see this sign


in your Kursbuch,


it means that there are some activities linked to that piece of learning in your Arbeitsbuch. There are a wide variety of activities in this book, all aimed at helping you to practise and learn new vocabulary, expressions and structures in German. You will do these activities with a partner or in a group in class or alone at home. Don’t worry about making mistakes – that is how we learn. Don’t hesitate to check your work with other people.

You are on a student exchange in Germany. Your exchange partner has a little brother who wants to know all about the subjects you learn and which subjects you like and don’t like.


You are on holiday in Spain. At the pool you meet an Austrian teenager who is coming to Ireland and will start school in September. They ask you all about a typical school in Ireland.

Ich besuche das Goethe-Gymnasium in Berlin. Ich gehe zu Fuß zur Schule. Wir tragen normalerweise keine Uniform, aber beim Sport tragen wir ein weißes T-Shirt mit dem Schullogo.

Unterschiede zwischen Schulen in Irland und in D-A-CH beschreiben


Ich gehe in die Klasse 6c. Wir sind dort insgesamt 25 Schülerinnen und Schüler – 14 Jungs und 11 Mädchen. Unser Klassenlehrer heißt Herr Müller. Er ist nett und lustig. An der Schule gibt es gute Einrichtungen, zum Beispiel eine Schulbibliothek, eine Turnhalle, eine Aula und eine Kantine.


Der Unterricht beginnt um 8 Uhr. Wir haben jeden Tag sechs Stunden. In der Pause plaudere ich mit meinen Freunden. Einmal die Woche habe ich Theater-AG, das macht viel Spaß!
