ECONOMIC GEOGRAPHY Case Study:
Uganda – a developing economy
Uganda is an economically developing East African country that was once under British colonial rule. It was a British ‘protectorate’ (colony) from 1894 until it became an independent country in 1962. This case study will examine some impacts of colonialism on Uganda. It will also investigate some of the challenges that Uganda now faces in adjusting to a global economy.
