Creative Engagement is an arts-in-education programme involving a local artist or arts group who comes into the school. The creative engagement takes place as the artists impart their skills, knowledge and enthusiasm to the students.
Since its inception, nearly 20 years ago, there have been over 1,000 Creative Engagement projects funded by the National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals (NAPD). This is supported by the Department of Education and Skills, the Heritage Council, and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
