arperFiction publisher Julia Wisdom is to lead a new crime imprint,
Hemlock Press, to “intrigue the mind and thrill the senses”, featuring A J Finn and Abigail Dean alongside new voices in mystery fiction.
Hemlock will showcase espionage fiction, literary crime thrillers and historical suspense, with the logo being unveiled at the Frankfurt Book Fair this week. Launching in spring 2024, the list will be led by Wisdom with a newly promoted commissioning team including senior commis- sioning editor Kathryn Cheshire and assistant editor Lizz Burrell.

a deal for his first book, Cooking for People. Pavilion publishing director

than 15 years ago and worked at The Anchor and Hope and The Canton Arms in London, before co-founding rooftop bar Frank’s Café in Peckham in 2008; it was recently named the best rooftop bar in Europe. He opened award-winning gastropub The Camberwell Arms in 2014. “Cooking for People is the only
