charity and help us drive its development to reach even more people around the world with life-changing access to books. The Head of Operations & Acquisitions leads on the
sourcing, warehousing and shipping of more than 1 million books every year—books that are gifted brand new to the charity by UK publishers. The role holds responsibility for all logistics and
warehouse activity, as well as the charity’s vital rela- tionships with the publishing industry, and manages an expenditure budget of c. £500k p.a. The Head of Operations & Acquisitions is an integral member of the Senior Management team. Working closely with the Chief Executive and the Board of Trustees, the role contributes directly to the delivery of the 2025 Power of Books strategy and the future growth and vision of the charity. We are looking for a publishing professional with
experience of logistics and an in-depth understanding of publishing and related industries. Experience of international development or international business would be an advantage.
