SPOTLIGHT ON BUSINESS “Fur Pets and Their People”
Barktown is a community of customers and staff that share an affinity for our four-legged friends! We have the experience and love it takes to leave you feeling at ease when you drop off your loved one. Whether for daycare or for a few nights stay, our focus is letting the dogs be individuals and participating in a social space with other dogs.
“I have been involved with dogs all of my life. I finally decided it was a passion that I wanted to lean further into and decided to create a space for the dogs to do what they love all day. Dogs are such intelligent and intuitive animals… Much smarter than us at times! That’s why, we as dog handlers, must have good intentions for them and have their best interests at heart while they’re in our care. What we receive from the dogs in return is so much greater, which is their trust and respect. It’s a joy to be with them every day and watch them blossom as they build friendships with the other dogs. There’s a sense of camaraderie among the dogs and it’s fascinating to watch. We truly love what we do!”. - Owner, Staci Lambert
“I have been with Barktown for around four months. Working here has been an incredible experience. Since working with the dogs, I have learned
much more than I anticipated. They each have personalities, big ones at that! We laugh because we treat them like children when, they have feelings and routines just like we do. They’re incredible to be around we are so fortunate to be with them. We work very hard to keep their environment clean and safe, so parents know their pets are getting treated with the utmost respect and care Ardmore has to offer”. - Amanda Cain, Dog Handler
