DART Launches Redesigned iPad App to Better Support its Customers

DART Aerospace announced the

launch of the redesigned DART iPad App, now featuring improved naviga tion and multiple annotation tools. Whether you are a mechanic working

on the field, a director of maintenance looking for the latest tools, or a buyer negotiating new equipment, you can flip through the catalogs like a maga zine. Zoom in and out by pinching the screen, share pages, or the entire cata log, with a friend, bookmark and revisit favorite pages or even add notes or cir cle interesting facts with the annota tion tools. The annotation tools appear when the user holds their finger on the screen for 2 seconds. All annotations are kept in memory and are accessible through the annotation menu. DART’s new app features improved navigation with the addition of a fully functional search box allowing users to search by product family, product description, STC number, keywords, part number or OEM part number. DART’s enhanced iPad app improves

the customer’s experience and trans forms each catalog into a dynamic tool.

AERIAL teams with Antipodean Aviation and Embry‐Riddle Aeronautical University to offer worldwide HUET Training

Aerial Machine & Tool Corp and par

ent company, Aqua Lung, have teamed up with Antipodean Aviation and EmbryRiddle Aeronautical University to offer specialized safety training pro grams for pilots and crew members globally. The first program to be offered will be Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) or otherwise referred to as “Emergency Water Landings.” While geared towards heli copter crews, the HUET program cov

ers both fixed wing and rotary wing ditching procedures. The program is being offered in the United States, Australia, Asia and Europe and features Mobile Training Units—submersible simulatorsthat mimic downed aircraft in a realistic fashion. The training units can be transported worldwide to accommodate customer needs. There are two courses available as

part of the HUET program: 1. Aircraft Ditching, Escape and Survival: This option is designed for general aviators (recreational, sport, private and light commercial) and cov ers both rotary and fixed wing plat forms. The course covers flight prepa ration, ditching techniques, underwa ter escape, and surface survival at sea. 2. Aircraft Ditching, Escape and

Survival with Emergency Breathing Systems: This option is an advanced extension of the first course and is intended for military, civil and commer cial flight crews that carry emergency breathing systems as part of their Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). This course includes training in the use of the Helicopter Aircrew Breathing Device (HABD) and Survival Egress Air (SEA) systems. As the master worldwide distributor
