UTair Aviation Chooses DART Aerospace Products for AS350 and AS355 Aircraft
UTair Aviation has chosen DART
Aerospace products for their AS350 and AS355 family of helicopters.
During the recent HeliRussia 2014 exhibition held in Moscow, UTair-Engineer- ing (Russia), DART Aerospace (Canada) and Heliatica (Russia) signed a three party cooperation agreement which included a UTair procurement plan for DART products for its fl eet of AS350 and AS355 helicopters, and a general agreement stating that UTair acts as completion center for the installation of DART products to third party customers.
DART Aerospace provides design, man- ufacturing, and market-certifi ed solutions for the helicopter and aerospace industries, with 5,000 products sold in more than 120 countries around the world. The agreement with UTair focuses on the procurement of Auxiliary Fuel Tanks, Heli-Utility-Baskets™ (each helicopter can be equipped with two baskets that each have a 150 kg weight capacity) and a Bearpaw Kit that keeps the tail high in soft terrain to prevent tail strikes. These DART solutions signifi cantly increase operational fl exibility for UTair and bring a certain competitive advantage to their fl eet in Russia.
All products are approved by the Russian Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC). IAC AR certifi cation, sales, and after-sales support are managed by Heliatica, a private company that will also distribute DART’s aftermarket products in IAC nations.
