Care Show Birmingham preview

Care Franchising Ltd, a nationwide multi- million-pound franchise network with 2024 Elite Franchise ‘Top 100’ status. As expanding BFA members, Cheryl and her team are passionate about both ethical and fair franchising and improving vulnerable lives within the social care setting. Having started working in a care home at just 14 years old, Cheryl completed her nursing degree at age 22. With a desire to make a difference, she decided to go one step further and set up a social care company to help people to live as independently as possible.

n Debbie Harris – Debbie is the founder of Autumna, the largest and most detailed directory of later life care providers and retirement living developments in the UK. Launched in 2019, the website receives over 2.5 million visits a year with the free advice line handling over 3,000 enquiries a month. Through the collection of quantitative data and qualitative feedback, Debbie and her team are uniquely placed to offer an in- depth insight into the wants and needs of the prospective senior housing resident.

n Peter Skinner – Peter started his career in the third sector before working for one of the largest social care providers in England. He then joined NHS England and since 2022 has been leading the newly established Digitising Social Care programme which aims to ensure that all adult social care providers have access to a digital care record by March 2024 and to build a stronger evidence base for the impact care technologies can have on the quality and safety of care.

n Trudie Fell – Trudie is the CEO and founder of BelleVie, an innovative home

care start-up that has earned multiple awards for its people-powered, tech- enabled, and purpose-driven approach to care. Inspired by the success of Buurtzorg in the Netherlands, BelleVie developed their own model of self-managing teams. Their new ways of working have been proven to significantly enhance the experience of both care workers and the individuals they serve. BelleVie is on a mission to reinvent the future of care, with a steadfast commitment to nurturing thriving communities and ensuring that everyone in the care ecosystem is recognised and valued. n
