Hallmark gets stamp of approval for £30m Bromley transformation

HC-One is to build a new luxury unit at its Victoria Manor care home in Edinburgh as part of an £8.5m group-wide refurbishment programme. The new Saxe Coburg accommodation,


which will offer residential and nursing care, will aim to provide a home-from-home care environment. The unit’s site will have multiple


treatment with new Saxe Coburg unit programme with each area being thoughtfully designed to support the mind, body and soul. The refurbishment was paused due to the pandemic, but work began in August and is due to be completed by October this year. “We’re really excited that our plans are

see 23 care homes, including Victoria Manor, benefit from the refurbishment and upgrade programme.


Savista Developments will redevelop the existing disused care home into a larger 107-bed, specialist dementia home for residents with a range of care needs. Designed to Hallmark’s outstanding


standards, the scheme will provide extensive facilities including a cinema, café/bistro, shop, hair salon, gym, spa, ten pin bowling alley, hobby rooms and library. High-quality gardens will include a residents’ garden club area. “The home will have a number of


innovative ideas and new features that we are looking to showcase when it opens in 2023,” said Hallmark group operations director Aneurin Brown. Savista anticipates starting construction within the next two months. “The new care home in Bromley


represents a new phase of expansion for Savista,” said Savista chief executive Kevin Shaw.
