Behavioural support Dr Zoe Lucock


Dr. Lucock PhD., BCBA-D, UKBA (cert), FHEA completed her PhD at Bangor University researching behaviour- analytic assessments with older adults living with dementia. She is the co- director of Positive Ageing Consultancy & Training – the UK’s first Behaviour Analyst led behavioural gerontology service provision. Dr Lucock’s areas of interest are engagement in older adults,


managing behavioural issues of older adults living with dementia, dementia in older adults with intellectual disabilities, and evidence-based carer training to increase quality of life in older adults in long term care settings. She currently serves as the chair for the Association for Behaviour Analysis International’s Behavioural Gerontology Special Interest Group.


Dr Emma Williams


Dr Williams PhD., BCBA-D, UKBA (cert), AFHEA specialises in working with people who have dementia, and training caregivers to provide effective behavioural support to prevent distressed behaviours and improve quality of life. Dr Williams has worked for over 20 years in the care sector and is passionate about making sure that people receive the best care possible through positive approaches


using evidenced-based behavioural science. She has several academic articles published in scientific journals based on her research and has presented at numerous conferences in the UK and internationally. She currently serves as the chair for the UK Society for Behaviour Analysis Behavioural Gerontology Special Interest Group.
