Staff apporach a barricaded door at the hinge side - the safe green zone, and observe the patient’s room through the vision panel.


Staff unlock the Switch hinge mechanism, while standing in the safe green zone.


Switch lock mechanism and indicator shows a locked or unlocked state.


Staff pull the door outwards using the handle provided, enabling the Switch mechanism to retract, allowing the door to open.


The door safely opens outwards with staff stood in the safe green zone – the door provides a safe barrier between staff and the patient.


The door opens outward even with lock bolt extended – meaning no need for time consuming and complicated override tool kits.
