Dublin event will see healthcare and education EFM sectors share experiences
The University & Healthcare Estates and Innovation Conference and Exhibition 2023, taking place in partnership with IHEEM in Dublin from 16-17 May, will focus strongly on the synergies for estates and facilities professionals working across both higher education and healthcare, the organisers say. The conference programme is designed for estates, facilities, and operational management professionals in the healthcare and higher education sectors in Northern Ireland and The Republic of Ireland. IHEEM said: “This highly interactive two-day conference, exhibition, and gala dinner, will be held in Dublin from 16-17 May at the Trinity College Dublin Conference Centre. By attending delegates will get the opportunity to hear industry experts and sector decision-makers share their ideas and solutions, and provide information on cross-collaboration projects.”
Close or co-located facilities Trevor Payne, Director of Estates for the University of Birmingham, said: “There are many synergies and common estate management challenges across these two important sectors. In cities across the UK and Ireland, many hospitals and higher education estates are co-located, or sited close to each other – yet often solutions are developed in isolation. There are some great case studies where collaboration has resulted in optimised outcomes, and I am looking forward to sharing our insights from the UK, and learning from the Ireland experience. This event offers a unique opportunity for conversations and collaborations that support and deliver.”
