Engel reports sales fall in 2025 financial year

Machinery maker Engel reported a fall in sales for 2025 – due to “structural changes, varying regional investment dynamics and continued cost pressures”. The company said sales fell 6% to €1.4 billion for the financial year, though difficult conditions in Europe were offset by growth elsewhere. “Challenges persist in

what remains a highly volatile global environ- ment,” said Stefan Engleder, CEO of Engel. Despite “challenging” conditions in Europe, investment in the US grew and Asia was “resilient”

Engel produced more than 1,000 injection moulding machines at its Changzhou plant in China during the period – with around 700 more produced in facilities in Shanghai and South Korea.

Engleder: “Challenges persist in a volatile global environment”

– especially in Southeast Asia and India. The technical injection moulding segment performed well – especially medical – though packaging developed “more cautiously”.

Closer to home, Engel called for “favourable” economic policy conditions in Europe. “Europe needs a stable, long-term industrial policy once again,” according to Engleder. “This includes fair com- petitive conditions to ensure that industrial investment remains predictable.” www.engelglobal.com
