The starve feeding granulator is suitable for grinding waste pieces, sprues and blown parts with 15 movable blades. The engine power is trans- ferred on a single mobile blade and three standard fixed blades. The 160-degree grid increases productivity while reducing consumptions.
Granulator integration Rapid Granulator has integrated a granulator into its Raptor Shredder base. At NPE last year, it showed the Raptor Duo – which is available for the Raptor 1350 model. The system offers an open-hearted design, low energy consumption and pre-adjustable knives for optimal sharpness and reduced down time, says Rapid. The Raptor Duo includes a reinforced pusher sys-
tem. Upgraded pneumatic cylinders help the opera- tor to increase output, making the machine more versatile for different applications. The pusher body system now has increased depth and reinforced side guides to support the pusher – helping it withstand irregular load without losing production. A new corrugated floor allows it to be used in demanding applications such as thin wall materials. This floor design prevents jamming, reducing the
need to use scrapers and improves the flexibility in range of products it can efficiently shred. In addition – to help meet growing demand and handle larger projects – the company is expanding its factory in Bredaryd, Sweden with a 1,600 sq m assembly hall. This will help Rapid to deliver complete systems
and larger solutions, it says. The new hall is designed to optimise production flows and create better conditions for managing large projects. It features high ceilings and equipment such as lift tables – that can handle very heavy components.
