NEWS Simona grows H1 sales and profits
Simona says it posted “significant growth” in revenue and earnings in the first half of the year. Sales rose more than 12%
to nearly €340million, on the back of a 10% rise in volume to nearly 90,000 tonnes. After a 2% increase in Q1 revenue, Q2 revenue rose by 23% to €184m. Profit (EBIT) in H1 almost doubled to €31m in the first half of the year. Despite volatile market conditions, Simona has raised its revenue guidance for 2026 to €630–650m. Performance was positive
across all three regions in the first half of the year. Sales in EMEA grew 18% to
volume, sales in the Ameri- cas region were flat at €86m against a backdrop of product mix, pricing and the currency effects of a weaker US dollar. Revenue in Asia-Pacific
increased 19% to €27m, fuelled mainly by strong demand from the semicon- ductor industry. This trend was reflected
Schönberg: “Significant growth in revenue, sales volume, and earnings in H1”
€227m, due mainly to higher sales volume and revenue in the Industry and Infrastructure business lines. Despite a 4% rise in sales
in growth across other business lines during the first six months of the year: Industry grew 15% to €123m, Advertising & Building rose 9% to €41m and Infrastructure increased 29% to €84m. However, despite growth in the field of aviation, sales in Mobility
fell to €34m, reflecting the “persistent contraction of automotive business in China”.
“In the first half of 2026, we achieved significant growth in revenue, sales volume, and earnings,” said Matthias Schönberg, CEO of Simona.
“Since March, we have
seen increased raw material prices. This presented major challenges but generated exceptional demand as customers brought purchas- es forward.”
Against this backdrop, Simona anticipates a slowdown in the second half of the year.
