Recycling and compounding expos attract 2,000 plus registrations


More than 2,000 people have already registered to attend the Plastics Recycling World Exhibition and the Com- pounding World Expo, which will take place on 27-28 June 2018 in adjacent halls at Messe Essen in Germany. The registrations received so far have come from industry professionals in more than 50 different countries. “We have been delighted

Norma and Kimplas join forces in water management


Pipe joining specialist Norma of Germany is to acquire Kimplas – an Indian company that is active in the same field. The transaction is


expected to close by the middle of this year. The purchase price – for 100% of the shares – has not been revealed.


Kimplas is based in Nashik in Maharashtra, in western India. Its products include compression

fittings, sprinklers, drippers, valves, filters and electrofu- sion parts such as tapping tees and saddles for gas and water pipes. Kimplas’ customers include water supply boards, gas distribution companies in India and abroad, micro-irrigation companies and building and construc- tion businesses. The company also distrib- utes plastic pipes and imported fittings as well as

electrofusion welding machines and tools. It sells its products mainly in India. Norma has been active in India since 2008, at a plant in Pune – 200km south of Nashik.
