Rosas, who also is a member of the WRI Electric School Bus Adviso- ry Council, said the entire V2G issue has yet to be fully worked out by all involved, including the utility companies. “The buses come V2G capable, but we did not purchase bi-directional chargers,” said Rosas, who facilitat- ed a panel discussion at STN EXPO Reno on proper project management of electric infrastructure implementation. “V2G is important, but it’s in its infancy stage, and the utilities have to more clearly define how and when [implementation] can be done. From a school districts perspective and as an educator, I’m not sure if it’s ready for primetime yet.” Rosas added he remains excited about the potential of school buses even-


tually powering buildings. “V2B is a great concept, and I’d like to find the funding to pursue that,” he said. “In the event of a power outage, buses can be used as mobile battery packs that you can plug into the building. That’s true resiliency.” 
