The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration issued a two-year extension of an exemption that allows school bus driver applicants to skip the “under- the-hood” engine portion of the pre-trip testing requirements when applying for their commercial driver license. The exemption was originally put in place to address driver shortages, but some industry professionals are concerned about the ramifications. Read the article at
