If you could swap jobs with anyone for a day, who would it be? I’m not sure I’d want anyone else’s job — but I suspect a few people might enjoy trying mine.


Tea or coffee? Coffee.


What’s your hidden talent? I’m a natural problem solver.


Cats or dogs? Both — I have a cat and a dog.


What’s the best airport in the world, and why? The best airport in the world is DXB, not because I live in Dubai , but because of its efficiency. I’m curious to see what comes next with the development of Al Maktoum International Airport.


How did you get into airfreight/logistics? By accident, really. I moved to Athens to pursue a Master’s degree in Sports Psychology. To support myself, I was sending my CV everywhere — mostly to shipping companies, since Greece is well known for its maritime and oil and gas industries. One of my first interviews was at a freight forwarding company. They liked me, I liked them and what started as a temporary opportunity quickly turned into a career.


What quote has most resonated with you? “If you don’t try, you’ll never know.” It’s a simple idea, but it has guided many of my decisions.


What is the most adventurous thing you have ever done? I’ve parachuted… and moved across the world twice.


If you could have dinner with any three people, living or dead, who would it be and why? Kobe Bryant — For his Mamba Mentality. His discipline, focus, and relentless pursuit of excellence.


My mother — Forever wise, kind, and full of unconditional love. I would give anything for one more dinner and conversation with her.


Nikola Tesla — A visionary far ahead of his time. I would love to understand how his mind worked and what it felt like to see the world in ideas before the world was ready to understand them.

Jelena Babic is Chief Growth and Engagement Officer at Neutral Air Partner (NAP), the global network of air cargo architects and logistics specialists. With nearly two decades of experience in the industry, Babic began her career in airfreight operations in Athens, building a strong operational foundation before moving into international business development. She later joined Neutral Air Partner as EMEAA Business Development Manager, supporting the organisation’s growth from an early-stage start-up into one of the most respected networks in logistics. In this role, she contributed


to the network’s expansion across key markets and strengthened relationships with air cargo specialists throughout the region.


What’s the biggest change you’ve seen in the industry? The biggest change has been the level of professionalism and structure in the industry. Financial discipline, compliance, and standards matter far more today than they did a decade ago.


What’s one buzzword you secretly dislike? “Resilience.” It’s become a default compliment.


What’s something we wouldn’t know about you from your CV? Most people don’t expect that I’m a professor of sport science and a former national taekwondo champion.


If you hadn’t pursued a career in airfreight, what other field would you have liked to go into? The sports industry would have been a natural path for me, but I’ve always been equally drawn to hospitality.


if you could have any superpower, what would it be? I would choose the power to heal people - Health is the only true currency.


What’s your proudest moment and your biggest regret? My proudest moments are watching my two sons grow into strong, kind young men, choosing their own paths and already achieving success at such a young age. I’m excited to see how they continue to navigate life — and professional sport — on their own terms.
