WCAWORLD – CONNECTING LATIN AMERICA TO THE WORLD
WCAworld has built a hard-earned reputation as the world’s principal organization for representing the independent freight forwarding community in every continent and providing them with the platform, services and tools to allow their businesses to flourish and grow in an increasingly competitive market.
Latin America is, and has always been a principle focus for WCAworld, with a team of staff solely dedicated to serving the particular needs of this exciting and dynamic market. Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking member support staff ensure that all members in the region can easily identify and work with the best partners from around the world and utilize the whole range of WCAworld tools to gain a critical advantage over competitors. Members also take full advantage in the lauded financial protection program to find partners and expand business around the world in a risk-free environment.
Whether it’s welcoming hundreds of Latin America members to the world- leading annual WCAworldwide Conference, or participating alongside them at the much-loved Intermodal South America event in Brazil, WCAworld has always seen the region as a key market, as its’s rapidly expanding membership in the region demonstrates. The team is always close by to provide support that is local, relevant, and immediate.
Formed in 1998, WCAworld is the largest and most powerful network of independent freight forwarders, with over 12,500 member offices in 195 countries worldwide. From its foundation, Chairman David Yokeum quickly recognized a need in the market for a place where independent freight forwarders could come together and connect in order to develop their businesses and move trade more effectively across the globe, WCAworld was created with a clear mission. From the start, WCAworld has been about networking, about enabling members to work together, and it continues this mission today in all corners of the globe. Members remain at the very centre of all that WCAworld does, and every product and service developed over the past two decades, of which there are now many, has been created as a direct response to the needs voiced from within the membership itself.
The network now boasts offices across the world with teams on hand to support, guide and advise where needed. Logistics in Latin America is a particularly nuanced and fast-changing market, one that requires expertise, agility, and strong connections. To ensure every opportunity is taken, WCAworld hosts roadshows in the region specifically for members to come
together, learn about the benefits of membership, and discover how to make the most of all the tools and resources the network provides. At these sessions, members can share insights, collaborate with each other, and draw upon collective expertise to tackle the specific challenges within their local markets, driving change that makes a tangible difference and pushes the industry forward.
In 2026 WCAworld will once again proudly host members and their visitors at its spacious Intermodal South America stand (K-045). Following the success and tremendous impact created by the impressive and expansive WCAworld exhibition stand at Intermodal 2025, we are delighted to continue providing our member companies with a comfortable, effective, and economical way to participate in this unique and prestigious event and we hope to see you there.
Another major aspect of World’s work involves acting as educators, supporters, and, when needed, arbitrators. Our experts know the industry inside and out, they understand your business, and they know how to support you when things go wrong. To support this role WCAworld launched its groundbreaking WCA Academy in 2020 and now offers a huge range of courses and education programs available only to members. One of the Academy’s most popular courses is the Good Distribution Practice
