Her good friend, Werner did not disappoint with a textbook run down the fence marking a 75 under judge Scott Carmichael. Another huge turnout at our Au-

riders. Compliments to all the riders - it is easy to see a lot of homework has been done. Our Herd Work class was full and getting better at each show. Our chefs for the day were Neil

Ontario Trail Rider Association Submission for ‘The Rider’ – September 2023 Issue

With 26 Riders on this beautiful

Labour Day Ride weekend, we finished our official riding season for this year. It was extremely hot on Sunday and Mon- day but ALL horses were perfect, and we had plenty of water available. We had so much fun again, the company was great, as always, as was the superb potluck we got to enjoy. THANK YOU ALL!

We will have 2 additional rides at

the Dufferin Forest Main Tract coming up this month, both being invitational

events from the Chesley Saddle Club, at no extra cost for OTRA members. The dates are September 15-17, and Septem- ber 22 to 25. If you can join us for those weekends for some fall weather riding, check out the information on our face- book page and contact Sharon Adler di- rectly. Those two rides with the option of camping will be our last for 2023. OTRA has had an excellent year

with the most members since I joined the Executive of the club. It is always nice to see the ‘regulars’, and also get to know all new faces. As long as we have these kinds of turnouts, we are guar- antied to have the equestrian camping opportunities in the Dufferin Forest. Let

us know any feedback and ideas as we begin to plan for 2024! Thank you all again for making this year memorable. By the way and better late than

never, we finally managed to draw the winner of our 2023 early bird registra- tion – Brenda Koenig is the winner of the $200 cash prize! Congratulations, Brenda! If you are not a member yet, sim-

ply send in the application form along with your payment or fill out the jotform directly on our website under www.otra- trailriders.ca/members and register elec- tronically. Payment via e-transfers will need to be send directly to otratrea- surer@gmail.com . Hope to see you out
