Success of the Co-Produced Event by Great Lakes Cutting Horse Association and Ontario Cutting Horse Association at Ancaster Fairgrounds

The collaborative event

hosted by the Great Lakes Cutting Horse Association (GLCHA) and the Ontario Cutting Horse Associ- ation (OCHA) at the Ancaster Fairgrounds on July 5 and 6 proved to be a resounding success. This well-organized show at- tracted participants from across the region, including competitors from Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Ontario, and Quebec, showcasing the popularity and reach of cutting horse competitions. The event provided a plat- form for riders of various skill lev-

els to demonstrate their talents and engage in friendly competition. The atmosphere was vibrant, with enthusiastic spectators and partic- ipants alike, all united by their passion for the sport. The cooper- ation between GLCHA and OCHA facilitated a seamless ex- perience, allowing for efficient event management and a high standard of competition. The positive feedback from

participants and attendees high- lights the importance of such col- laborative efforts in promoting the sport of cutting horse riding. Both

associations are committed to fos- tering a community that supports equestrian sports and enhances the experience for all involved. As the event concluded, dis-

cussions about future collabora- tions and events were already underway, promising to further el- evate the sport in the Great Lakes and Ontario regions. This success- ful show not only celebrated the skills of the participants but also reinforced the strong bonds within the cutting horse community

year. Our first two shows of 2025 have almost tripled our daily entries from last year. The introduction of two new Ranch classes has brought around quite a few new riders and as hoped, some of these are taking a try at working cattle. Again, standing at the gate, it is so great to see more im- provement in so many horses and riders. Our two clinics are complete and it was nice to hear

Ka Boom! What an explosion in our entries from last
