As the country slowly eases out of lockdown, BAL is further developing its programme of online and on-site training courses for fixers and contractors.
BAL has a nationwide team of Training and Technical Support (TTS) Team members available to offer practical knowledge, project advice and training to tilers, contractors, specifiers and distributors.
For any problem or query, on any installation, the team is able to provide onsite consultancy to help resolve any issues found onsite, as well as providing advice online and on the phone – all done safely and within the government’s coronavirus guidelines. What’s more, BAL can even send samples away for independent analysis at its laboratories to find the cause of any problem.
BAL’s TTS team have many years of tiling experience between them and are highly regarded throughout the industry for their technical expertise.
The BAL TTS service is completely free and available across the UK for tiling professionals. It is one of the many support services available to members of BAL’s new partnership programme – YOU+BAL.
Dave Rowley, TTS Manager, said: “When fixers or contractors are out on a job, what they want most is the

reassurance that the tiling installation won’t fail, and the results will exceed the client’s expectations.
“Our team is available for onsite training, specifications and consultancy on any problems whenever and wherever you need.
“Tilers, contractors or specifiers can contact our TTS team for dependable advice for solutions prior to work starting, or if issues have been found onsite.
“And be rest assured we are taking every measure possible to be safe and hygienic onsite – including social distancing, hand-sanitising and the wearing of masks where required.”
The online tools proved particularly effective during the lockdown, with thousands of people taking advantage of time at home to brush up on their knowledge.
BAL are keeping these tools available to all on their website for people to access at any time if they are looking for tiling information.
Dave said: “While we already had a number of online tools available, our Stay Positive, Back Stronger Campaign introduced some new elements including our A-Z of Tiling, new Technical Notes and on-demand CPDs.
