IDBS PREPARE FOR ‘NEXT GENERATION’ OF CHEMISTRY ELN

partnership with ChemAxon, as well as an intelligent software solution that is easily integrated into your research IT environment.

The E-WorkBook Chemistry ELN (electronic laboratory notebook) is a comprehensive web-based solution to meet the needs of the chemists’ workflow, based on an industry- standard ChemAxon platform. Designed through active discussion with chemistry stakeholders, the product is user-friendly and covers all aspects of the chemists’ workflow.

The E WorkBook platform has been completely re-designed for the web and can be deployed in an on-premise or SaaS environment, enabling rapid deployment in organisations – allowing for efficient research in a single solution.

The current product represents the foundation of what IDBS envisage as being the ‘next generation’ chemistry ELN, as it expands further to enhance the discovery chemistry product, and to progress into parallel synthesis and process chemistry. IDBS believe the success lies in integration to third party applications and is developing further strategic partnerships for in-silico predictions, molecule design, SAR, and analytical spectral rendering.

What makes the E-WorkBook stand out to competitors is its intuitive user interface, which has been designed by experienced organic chemists, who know and understand the complexity of the synthetic workflow, allowing the chemist to capture the design and execution, with easy access to inventory sources and registration systems.

Alongside this, it features access to world leading representation of chemical molecules, naming, property prediction and more thanks to IDBS’ strategic

The E-WorkBook is embedded with ChemAxon MarvinJS and JChem technology for diverse molecule representation and searching, and features the ability to enter single molecules or reactions into an experiment, with full synthetic reaction support, including multiple additions of reagents, multiple batches of product, calculating the concentration of the reaction and defining salt/solvate forms of reaction components.

It also features rapid write-up of the experimental procedure using defined text phrases and automatically referencing components from the stoichiometry table, and the ability to interface to in-house or commercial inventory sources such as web services, *.csv, *.sdf files or database tables.

Finally, it comes with out-of-the- box registration to a configured ChemAxon Registration system, with automatic population of data from the stoichiometry table into the registration form.
