TECHNOLOGY IS THE ANSWER. At the heart of Permasure is the unique molecular modelling technology originally developed in response to the need for more effective CWA protection. Permeation of a chemical through a barrier, such as chemical suit fabric, is a well-understood physical process; molecular modelling techniques can accurately predict the rate and volume of permeation, even adjusting for the effect of temperature and real- world parameters. Permasure calculates how much of a chemical may permeate over time and, combined with a database of over 4000 chemicals, including essential hazard data, uses known dermal toxicity limits to enable access to instant safe-wear times for Lakeland chemical suits ChemMax 3, ChemMax 4 Plus and Interceptor Plus


HOW DOES IT WORK? A user-friendly interface allows for selection of


garment, input of temperature and exposure time, and finally, selection of the chemical. The user is immediately provided with essential hazard and toxicity information. Then with one more click, within seconds, Permasure advises if it’s safe to wear the suit or if you may reach a hazardous level of contamination in less than the exposure time. In which case, you can then choose a different suit or reduce the time you may be exposed.
