CONTENTS
Hello and welcome to the September/October issue of Tomorrow’s Health & Safety.
With schools reopening and welcoming pupils back to the classroom, it’s disconcerting to see the number of Coronavirus cases rising in the UK already. With winter fast approaching it’s clear that trade-offs will be made between schools, offices, hospitality and leisure, with educational settings remaining open being the highest priority for the Government.
In this issue, Rawlins and Sitemark guide us through the increasingly important world of Cleaning & Hygiene, with the former providing top tips for making cleaning processes COVID-secure and the latter looking at how you can introduce a workplace hygiene programme that will reduce the risk of contamination and infection, as well as encourage behaviour change among building occupants.
In the Protective Clothing & Workwear section, SATRA informs us what the new EN ISO 21420:2020 Protective Gloves Standard entails, whilst Keebles details the signs employers should look out for to help deal with employee wellbeing in the workplace, in our Mental Health & Stress feature.
As we head into the winter months, with few signs of the virus abating, the weeks ahead remain absolutely critical. We hope by the next issue of THS, the Government, the National Institute for Health Protection (formerly Public Health England) and the country as a whole have managed to keep this coming wave under control.
Stay safe.
