CLEANING SHOW 2021 MOVED

TO JUNE The Cleaning Show2021, originally set to take place at ExCeL London in March, has been officially rescheduled until 8-10 June 2021 by the organisers.

In a decision wholly supported by the British Cleaning Council, the organisers’ hope that by the new dates the worst of COVID-19 will be far behind us all, and that organised business events can take place both safely and with confidence.

Quartz Business Media has worked closely with the Association of Event Organisers (AEO) in developing the Government-approved AllSecure Standard. This document outlines the highest levels of hygiene and safety, and enables effective and safe operation according to Government and local authority guidance.

This will be the first opportunity that the industry has to meet in person following one of the most challenging times for the cleaning sector in a generation

So much has been achieved by cleaning professionals during the pandemic and the Cleaning Show promises to be a productive and safe environment whilst celebrating the role the industry has played in the fight against COVID-19.

Alongside the exhibition of suppliers, event highlights will include the Cleaning Show Awards, the return of the Window Cleaning World Cup, a highly topical conference programme and a pair of new features, a dedicated demonstration area and the CSSA Innovation Showcase.

All existing exhibitor bookings and visitor registrations remain in place and will be transferred automatically

ECH AWARDS RETURN IN

SPRING 2022 The European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards, the pan-European awards programme for the professional cleaning sector, will return in Spring 2022 to celebrate the industry’s successes.

After the 2020 event was postponed due to the COVID-19 situation, the organisers have now confirmed that their fifth awards event will now take place on 28 April 2022, at Le Plaza Hotel in Brussels, Belgium.

The Awards are organised by European Cleaning Journal (ECJ) and Environment Media Group (EMG). Businesses and individuals from across the continent are encouraged to share their stories of success when entries open in April 2021.

Michelle Marshall, ECJ Editor, explained: “It is now clear the pandemic will continue to impact our lives – and the professional cleaning sector – for some time to come. Therefore, we feel the right thing to do is to postpone the ceremony until April 2022. In doing this we hope to be able to celebrate our industry in the way we would all like to, when we can travel freely and enjoy the occasion.

“The cleaning industry has really stepped up to the challenge of COVID-19 and it's great to see it starting to gain wider recognition, something we have always championed. We look forward to reading the nominations in the coming months, and cannot wait to welcome everyone to Brussels in just over a year's time.”
