Editor’s Voice
With vaccines rolling out and a sense that we’re finally turning a corner on the Coronavirus, there’s a renewed optimism that things will start to get
progressively more ‘normal’ as 2021 goes on. Any progress we have towards this, however, will have to be tempered by a methodical, careful easing of restrictions and has to be backed by rigorous and effective cleaning regimes coupled with social distancing measures if we’re to avoid backsliding into more lockdowns.
In this 30th issue of Tomorrow’s Cleaning Ireland we’ve got a feature dedicated to Commercial Laundry, as Christeyns talks to Joanne Somers from Celtic Linen about her new role, the future of the business and the recent COVID- related challenges, and we also hear from Aiden, from Miele Ireland's Professional Division, about infection control and prevention in care homes.
We’ve also got a look into Healthcare Hygiene this issue, as Liam Smith from Essity investigates ways of delivering cleaning and hygiene in healthcare facilities in fast and efficient ways. We also take a look at UVC cleaning
from UVC sanitising system manufacturer VIOA, and in our cover story CEI introduces us to the ICE AquaSmart.
Thank you very much for reading, please stay safe and enjoy the issue!
