eLearning Care Certificate Package - iHASCO
Second place goes to the eLearning Care Certificate Package from online training provider iHASCO.
iHASCO created a complete eLearning package to cover the “theory” for those who are working towards their care certificate, with 15 separate, concise and engaging courses.
The online training plays a vital role in helping anyone who is starting out in the care sector to learn about the 15 standards of care. They also provide a great refresher for experienced workers, because it's vital that everyone who works in this industry provides top-quality care.
iHASCO is also a Skills-for-Care-endorsed Learning and Development provider, so users can have confidence in the content and quality of these courses. The courses can be completed online in under eight hours, but at the learner’s own pace and convenience. Course titles as part of the eLearning Care Certificate package include Basic Life Support, Duty of Care, Fluids & Nutrition and Infection Prevention & Control. It is easy to monitor training: for the employer, through the LMS, and the employee through their own training suite, to keep track of completed and outstanding training.

Wyld Mesh Networking Technology - Wyld Networks
In third place is the clever Wyld Mesh Networking Technology from Wyld Networks.
Wyld Networks has developed new technology designed to protect residents, staff and visitors in care homes against COVID-19 and other viruses.
Wyld’s mobile mesh networking harnesses the power of peoples’ mobile devices, connecting smartphones directly to other smartphones without the need for cellular 4G/5G or Wi-Fi.
The Wyld system is also able to create virtual geozones around the whole care home, as well as sensitive or quarantined areas, and dynamic personal two-metre geozones around everyone with the app. All staff and visitors will have to download the mobile application and input COVID-19 test results and enter any symptoms into a self-diagnostic algorithm embedded in the application to create a risk profile. Residents without a smartphone can be given electronic wristbands or similar.
Anyone approaching a geozone is sent a message instantly to let them know if they can enter. Operational staff get a detailed record of everyone in the care home at any time and who they have come into contact with.
In addition, the use of graphical ‘heat maps’ to provide visualisation of patterns of movement in the home, can also be used to make informed decisions around adjustments to layout or working practices to avoid unintentional close contact.

twitter.com/TomorrowsCare - 35 - WHAT THEY SAID:
“We are delighted to gain the recognition in this year’s Tomorrow's Care Awards 2021. Our technology is designed for use in entertainment venues, shopping centres and busy transport hubs, but when COVID struck, we recognised the potential for it to help in care homes. Driven by our own experiences of relatives in care homes, just one year on, the first Wyld mesh system is up and running at Castlehill Care Home in Inverness. The system will not only help care homes come out of lockdown but means they are better prepared to deal with annual influenza and other virus outbreaks in the future. We would like to thank everyone in NHS Scotland, Highland Health Ventures and the Simply UK Care Home community that has made this possible.”
Alastair Williamson, CEO of Wyld Networks WHAT YOU SAID:
“So important for the fight against covid.” “The potential benefit from and uses of this technology are quite outstanding”
“Inevitably essential for the implementation of a safe, controllable care environment."
WHAT THEY SAID:
“We are absolutely thrilled! Our eLearning courses are created to make a genuine difference to each and every one of our learners, and to know that we've played a part in supporting people who work in the care sector is wonderful. Thank you so much to Tomorrow’s Care and to all of those that voted for us.”
Lottie Galvin, Studio Manager at iHASCO WHAT YOU SAID:
