i-team launches the i-walk
i-team Global has launched the i-walk, a groundbreaking co- bot that redefines cleaning, delivering unmatched efficiency and precision cleaning.
Available from 1 October 2024, i-walk, transforms the i-mop XL into a co-botic and cleans up to 300m² with only one minute of set-up time.
The i-walk is set to revolutionise floor cleaning performance. It’s a hi-tech enhancement of the hugely successful i-mop XL, with an automated driving system that takes over the hard work. It has the ability to clean an impressive 700m² in just one hour, saving operatives a ton of cleaning and setup time.
i-walk can also work tirelessly for up to four hours thanks to its extended battery life, cutting down on those disruptive downtimes. The flow of service doesn’t have to be interrupted. With this kind of performance, efficiency soars while operational costs plummet.
For the sustainably conscious business, the i-walk is an impressive eco-friendly solution. It uses an advanced recovery system that slashes water usage by 70% and reduces chemical use, making it a greener and more environmentally responsible floor cleaning choice.
Not only that, the i-walk’s advanced suction system ensures surfaces dry very quickly, reducing the risk of slips and falls after cleaning. Safety doesn’t stop there as it directly benefits its operators too. Cleaning operatives will love the i-walk because it frees them from repetitive, time- consuming tasks, which can be strenuous to complete. Instead, they can focus on higher-value work, making their jobs more enjoyable and less physically demanding.
Robert Scott launches 100%
compostable wipe Cleaning manufacturer and distributor, Robert Scott, has unveiled the Ecofibre Compostable Wipe, a 100% natural fibre cleaning wipe designed for eco-friendly cleaning that doesn’t compromise performance.
Developed as an alternative to traditional synthetic options, the wipe is made entirely from compostable fibres sourced from PEFC-certified wood pulp and meets EN 13432:2000- 12 standards for compostability.
Once used, the wipe can simply be rinsed and disposed of alongside food waste, where it will biodegrade harmlessly. Even the packaging is designed with sustainability in mind, with PLA bags made from compostable bioplastics and cartons from FSC-certified recycled sources.
Despite its significant environmental benefits, the Ecofibre Compostable Wipe makes no sacrifices in terms of commercial cleaning effectiveness. Its open weave design makes it easy to rinse, it absorbs up to eight times its own weight in water and is machine washable.
In addition, the wipe is colour-coded for improved hygiene and is food contact compliant, making it safe for use in professional food preparation areas.

Alastair Scott, Sales Director at Robert Scott, said: “With ever-increasing levels of plastic waste polluting our oceans and microplastics entering the food chain, it's crucial to find sustainable alternatives.
“Our new Ecofibre Compostable Wipe addresses this need by providing a natural fibre cloth that doesn’t compromise on performance or affordability. It’s a step towards a more circular economy in the cleaning sector and greener planet for us all, with disposed of wipes biodegrading into compost, which in turn is used to grow more trees.”
The Ecofibre Compostable Wipe is available in four colours – blue, red, green and yellow – sized at 40x32cm, and come in packs of 10x50.

What’s more, from a strategic viewpoint, the i-walk is a game-changer for cleaning companies facing staff shortages. With fewer hands on deck, the pressure to deliver top-notch service is a challenge. The i-walk bridges that gap, offering unparalleled efficiency gains and helping companies to maintain high cleaning delivery standards with reduced operatives on site.
Frank van de Ven, founder and CEO of i-team Global, said: “The focus of i-team is dedicated to elevating the role of cleaners, transforming them into respected hospitality professionals, while also reducing the use of water, energy and cleaning detergents. Our goal is to shift perceptions about cleaning and those who undertake it. Tools like the i-mop and i-walk are central to this mission. Since its patent in 2014, the i-mop has revolutionised the cleaning industry. i-team continues to lead the market with innovative solutions that integrate high-tech advancements into a traditionally low-tech field.”
