Editor’s Voice
With 2024 now fast approaching, it’s been easy to reflect on 2023 as a good year for the cleaning and hygiene industry. Although economically
it’s been quite challenging, it’s been a consistently busy year, with demand for products and services remaining high – even through the typically
quiet summer months. With the massive Interclean Amsterdam 2024 on the horizon, we’re expecting the new year to bring with it plenty of new developments in every corner of the industry.
In this Winter edition of Tomorrow’s Cleaning Ireland, Tork manufacturer
Essity considers public washroom provision following complaints aired in the press recently, and explains how being run more efficiently and cost-
effectively can make keeping them open easier. Robert Scott’s Gill Ireson also reveals why washroom hygiene and maintenance is such a crucial part of commercial cleaning and facilities management.
Elsewhere, Lewis Cannell from ABM shares insights on the factors propelling ABM’s Critical Solutions business to new heights, Nuvonic’s Ken Kershner
warns us about getting complacent about hygiene in the post-COVID era, and Mitie explains how to connect tech with people for a cleaner future.
Thank you very much for reading, and I hope you enjoy the issue!
