In an online survey of 1,200 people in the UK by Quick-Step that asked about their opinions about different flooring types, some surprising misconceptions about vinyl flooring were revealed. The leading brand is encouraging retailers to challenge consumer perceptions and become part of a band of flooring myth busters.
According to respondents, who all took part in an online questionnaire, vinyl flooring has its upsides and downsides. Worries about quality, stain and scratch resistance, installation and not looking very natural, where all reasons for not thinking about vinyl as a floor for their home. On the upside, many people believe it to be easy to clean, good looking and comfortable.
