COVER STORY SHOWPIECE
Showcasing the Award-Winning Trelawny VoltMax® Range as Battery Innovation Takes Centre Stage at Flooring Show South.
Fresh from winning the highly prestigious Innovation Product Award at the World of Concrete event in America, Warwickshire- based Trelawny will be showcasing its now award-winning and critically acclaimed battery-powered Trelawny VoltMax machines at Flooring Show South.
˝Trelawny VoltMax takes cordless performance to a new level for flooring professionals.˝
Centre stage will undoubtedly be the company’s TFS230 Floor Stripper and its TCG250 Floor Grinder machines, launched last summer to considerable industry acclaim. Developed by the Leamington Spa-based manufacturer, Trelawny VoltMax is a bold new range of battery-powered equipment designed and engineered to revolutionise the surface preparation and renovation sectors – developed for tomorrow’s contractor, but available today.
Drawing on more than 80 years of engineering expertise, Trelawny has combined its hallmark durability and performance with the complete freedom, convenience and sustainability demanded by today’s modern worksites. The result is a
range that not only meets evolving environmental expectations but also delivers the robust capability contractors rely on in high- pressure environments.
While battery-powered tools are well established across many trades, Trelawny VoltMax takes cordless performance to a new level for flooring professionals operating at both industrial and DIY scale. At the heart of each machine is a high-performance electric motor paired with powerful 82V lithium-ion battery technology – a first for the sector. This advanced system ensures consistent, maximum high-torque power delivery from start to finish, eliminating the drop-off in performance often associated with battery equipment.
The Trelawny VoltMax TCG250 Floor Grinder offers run times of approximately 35 minutes while the TFS230 Floor Stripper can operate for up to an hour depending on the application and working environment. Crucially, both machines provide zero-emission power without compromising on output. A reduction in noise levels make them ideal for use in sensitive environments such as hospitals, schools, retail spaces and occupied commercial buildings, where minimising disruption is critical.
Built with rugged construction and engineered for demanding tasks, the machines are equally capable of tackling short, intensive bursts of work or longer, sustained operation. Integrated cooling systems protect battery longevity, while LED status indicators provide operators clear, real-time information on remaining charge levels. Depending on battery capacity and condition, average charge times start from just 30 minutes, ensuring teams can maintain productivity throughout the working day.
Beyond the headline machines, visitors to Flooring Show South will also gain insight into Trelawny’s expanding pipeline of hand-held battery- powered products currently in development and scheduled for launch later this spring. This signals the company’s continued investment in cordless innovation and its ambition to lead the transition toward cleaner, more flexible, site equipment.
