Kärcher’s Ice Blaster range offers a portable, non-aggressive, but thorough method of cleaning surfaces, tools, moulds and machines without causing damage to the substrate or the environment. -79°C dry ice pellets are accelerated to speeds of 150 m/s using compressed air and then fired at the surface to be cleaned. The abrupt cooling of the surface causes a thermal shock allowing the dry ice pellets to penetrate minute surface cracks and turn directly into a gas. The pellets lift the contaminant from the surface as they return to the atmosphere as CO2. The machines can be used indoors or out and do not require chemicals.
