Top five tips for choosing your wedding venue

quirky and different like country barns or restaurants. By finding elements you both love you can narrow down the type of venue you will be looking for.

Finding your perfect wedding venue is probably top of the list for ‘things to do before the big day’, but amongst all of the big decisions it’s important to consider a few things along the way! Here are five top tips to make that process a little easier.

 BUDGET Make sure you and your partner can agree on a budget and stick to it! The costs of a wedding can be tricky, but finding an amazing venue for your big day can be done even on the smallest of budgets. Be sure to check out various different types of

venues so you can work out what kinds of places you can afford before setting your heart on somewhere.

LOCATION Choosing a location is key for you, your partner and all of the guests. It’s practical to think about how far family spread across the country, or even the world, may have to travel. Locations close to motorways, airports or with accommodation on-site will make life easier for everyone and take the stress away on the big day itself.

It’s also worth researching the local area to see what else is nearby to your venue as this can be a good idea if you have guests travelling who may need local amenities such as hotels or B&B’s may be needed.

 YOUR PERSONAL

PREFERENCE This is you and your partner’s wedding, therefore your venue must reflect your personalities. Some people like traditional themes such as a manor house, whereas others want something a little more

 SPACE Making sure there is room for all of your guests is super important so, the first thing to do is create a rough figure of expected guests so you don’t end up booking somewhere too big or small. Another important thing to keep in mind when you consider wedding spaces is the season your wedding is taking place in, as you could wish for an outdoor space for your summer celebration but need indoor space for a traditional room.

 LIGHTING Lighting may not be considered an odd one, but remember a lot of your wedding photos are going to be taken at your venue and therefore the light is key. Different types of lighting can give completely different atmospheres, so make sure you visit the venue at the time of day your pictures will be taken. This can stop your pictures from not looking clear and crisp.

“Absolutely wonderful service,

made our special day so much more amazing.” “Couldn’t have asked for a better photographer.”
