CONTENTS INTERNATIONAL

Welcome

As we settle into the new year, International Oil & Gas Engineer is delighted to introduce a fresh design and a new editor. My name is Siobhan Doyle, and I look forward to bringing you insightful and engaging engineering content from every corner of the industry. In my inaugural issue as editor,

an oil and gas specialist delves into the world of digital solutions in the sector, exploring how these innovations can pave the way for a more efficient future (pages 8-10). The issue also highlights global insights within the sector, including oil production in Nigeria and the current state of Russian pipeline exports to Europe (page 6). Further into the issue, an AI

company's CEO delves into the potential of Applied AI as an intelligent approach for enhancing oil and gas exploration processes (pages 18-19). Additionally, we shed light on how enabling technology could play a pivotal role in modernising methane management (pages 24-25). Elsewhere, readers are

guided through the intricacies of designing intrinsically safe wearables for hazardous environments (pages 38-39). Meanwhile, a subsea and energy manager advocates for the recognition of existing hydraulic control fluids in response to the growing demand for energy (pages 42-43). We then round off the issue

with our usual events previews: this time with the Subsea Expo and Oceanology International.

Happy reading!
