Smarter detection of fugitive methane emissions


Methane is one of the most potent greenhouse gases, yet fugitive emissions from industrial operations are a challenge to track and quantify. Conventional monitoring techniques often fail to detect intermittent releases, which leads to inaccurate reporting and increased environmental impact.


The new enhanced Remote Emissions Monitor (eREM) from Sensors Inc., delivers a step-change in how leaks are detected and mitigated. Using proven backscatter TDLAS technology with patented, statistics-based algorithms, eREM continuously monitors methane plumes in real time. Integrated laser scanning generates a fl ux plane that measures emission rates at >1 Hz directly, eliminating the necessity for complex plume modelling.


Engineered for cost-effective deployment, the solar- powered system is easy to install, self-aligns during operation, and transmits real-time alarms and analytics through the cloud.
