GINNYHOWE Time to party

horsesacross the levels, and the most loyal and supportive owners sharing the journey. One last minute addition to the team born

3*S. It was lovely to be backatBarbury, and the boys certainly agreedtoo! Undalgo De Windsor did his PB at dressage

in his 4* test, not quite pulling off his changes as well as he did outside the ring; some great work though, and suchanice test to ride on him. Trendy Captain Clover also did agood test; his changesare usually his party piece, but I slightly over-rode his second one whichlost us marks. However, his lateral work scoredwell. Undalgo De Windsor lovesjumping in the

main ring and show jumpedreally well. Avery unlucky pole; withme conscious of the tight time Ijust angledanoxer alittle too much, catching the backrail whichwas ashame. Trendy Captain Clover, certainly lovestoshow off at Barbury, withafew additional bucks addedintohis show jumping round, he jumped aspringy clear! On to the XC, and bothboys were very happy to see this phase. Two super clears for the bothof them, adding to their good trackrecord at Barbury in the 4*. CHF Archie, did some great work in his

dressage; still plenty to work on before he gets top marks, but areally rideable and accurate test from him. He lovestoshowoff

Father and son

but remains focusedand is fantastic to work with. He continuedhis great 3* form withyet another double clear. A careful show jumping, not wanting to touchapole, thenabold round XC and making it all feel very easy. It was good to trial out anew bit, as Ihave sometimes struggledwithhim getting abit strong and keen. With the big boys having their run, it was

off to Upton house with the novice horses. I earlier spoke about the BE100 withCavorting Kandy, but this time it was the turn of myown InterlakenWand Ballinamurra Changsha ownedbyPippa Lines. The stallion, InterlakenW,has beenongreat

form in his Novice runs. Having had abit of awobbly at intermediate, stepping down has made ahuge difference and Iplanto continue this until he feels ready to stepbackupagain. Every horse takesa different amount of time to stepup, some longer than others. Taking the slower route is definitely the wayforward for him. He is establishedon the flat and in the show jumping but can sometimesgoalittle careful XC. At Upton he was on great form and having consolidatedhis rounds in previous novice runs this certainly paid off, aleading dressage score of 24 and agreat double clear in the time saw him take the win! It was fantastic for him and my whole team and was definitely what was neededafter a challenging weekpreviously. Ballinmurra Changsha also did not disappoint.

This lovely mare has so muchpresence and ability and is proving just how good she will be. A great test for her in the 20’s, followedbyavery unlucky pole whichshe did not deserve, thengoing on to jump abold XC round just adding afew time penaltiesto finish just outside of the top 10. She is suchagreat mare to work withand loves her job, withtalent to matchitwill be exciting to see what she can do over the coming months. The horsesall have their plans set out,

withmost of the above aiming to do an International towards the end of the season whichisvery exciting. Afantastic team of

yesterday, another foal for GHEBreeding. Out of mymare QwazyJinx, by mystallion InterlakenW.Avery cute filly to join the existing two boys; I’m sure she will put them in their place in the months to come! InterlakenWisstill available for Stud work

so if you are thinking of breeding your mare and want astallion withimpeccable temperament and bottomless scope for dressage, show jumping, or eventing thenplease do get in touch. He is fully gradedand approvedbyBreeders Elite. Ihope everyone enjoys the remaining

heatwave and summer. Until next time,

Love Ginny x
