Construction Begins On Everton's New Stadium At Bramley-Moore Dock Laing O’Rourke has commenced construction of the contentious Everton Football Club’s new £500m stadium.
Everton FC took legal possession of the stadium site at Bramley-Moore Dock in the north of Liverpool, on Monday, 26th July, 2021. Contractors Laing O’Rourke began enabling works immediately for the 52,888-capacity stadium, which has been designed by architect Dan Meis.
As well as providing a venue for football and other events, Everton’s, new stadium is expected to accelerate the £650m Liverpool Waters and Ten Streets developments and attract an estimated 1.4 million visitors to the city once completed. This, one of the most iconic sporting arenas in the country, will provide up to 15,000 jobs for local people, 12,000 during the construction phase.
Steve Rotheram, Metro Mayor of the Liverpool City Region, said earlier this month: “Bramley-Moore is an area that has been crying out for investment for generations, so it’s fantastic to see that Everton are finally beginning construction on their new stadium. The new ground will be a transformative project for the whole area, attracting investment and creating thousands of jobs, as well as giving our region another world- class facility that will attract visitors from all over. Bramley-Moore has the potential to be a real catalyst for much-needed wider regeneration.”
Charterhouse Turf Machinery announce corporate name change to Redexim
Effective from the 1st July 2021, Charterhouse Turf Machinery officially re-branded to become Redexim. While the product portfolio, premises and personnel will be unaffected, the change of name brings the UK into line with the Redexim corporate strategy adopted throughout Europe and the rest of the world.
The relationship between Charterhouse and Redexim has been ongoing for more than 35 years, when Charterhouse were appointed to distribute the now iconic Redexim Verti-Drain®
The success of this partnership then saw Charterhouse become a wholly owned subsidiary of Redexim bv in 1997. With the Verti- Drain®
firmly setting the standard for professional aeration, the
product portfolio has expanded significantly over the years to incorporate overseeders, topdressers, scarifiers and renovation equipment for natural surfaces, as well as a range of machinery options for artificial playing surfaces, that meet the exacting standards of today’s turf managers.
Commenting on the re-brand in the UK, Redexim Chief Operating Officer Herman de Bree said “The team at Charterhouse have done a fantastic job over the years at cementing the place of the Redexim natural and artificial ranges with leading turf managers throughout the UK. The time is now right to unify the approach with that adopted throughout the world by delivering sales, service and support under the Redexim banner. This will help to strengthen our brand awareness and global corporate identity and streamline our communication with customers around the world.”
