WHAT’S ON IN YOUR COUNT Y ZOOMING IN ON NATURE

The British Motor Museum is inviting families to explore nature in their car collection this summer until September 2.

Many car designers and engineers have taken inspiration from nature. Families can explore these fun facts with a 'nature trail' to seek out all that blooms, squawks and roars in the museum. Along the way they may be lucky enough to bump into Adventure ‘Annie’ or ‘Alex’, the enthusiastic costumed explainers, and learn all about the cars that have been on jungle adventures and travelled across exciting parts of the world.

Visitors can also visit the new exhibition, 'Factor us in', which uncovers the fascinating stories behind the motor industry and of the people who worked and lived around it. Will it be Brenda the tea lady or Malcolm the big boss from the factory that share their

stories? Take a seat in Shirley's sitting room and listen to her stories while she does the ironing. The costumed characters may vary but one thing that will not is their engaging stories about their communities surrounding the car factories.

Younger visitors are also invited to collect a cut-out model Land Rover to take home and make, then colour, paint, or even restyle with recycled materials.

The museum is open daily from 10am – 5pm with limited numbers per day. Pre-booking is essential for all visitors including those returning with an annual pass.
