Edwards Agricultural Supplies improving soils with natural nutrition
Edwards Advanced Seaweed is a natural alternative to chemical fertilisers, full of trace elements producing high dry matter grass suitable for fatting lambs, cattle and flushing ewes.
Edwards Advanced Seaweed is a proprietary blended bio-stimulant that has been developed following 30 years of working with soil and evaluating data from Soil analysis. By treating the Soil and the plant you are creating an efficient healthy environment within which to grow healthy disease resistant plants, minimising the need for additional external inputs.
Seaweed has been long established as a bio-stimulant for plants. Edwards Advanced Seaweed contains cold extract Ascophyllum nodosum from the waters of the North Sea. It is a bio-stimulant that is directly beneficial to both plant and soil.
Edwards Advanced Seaweed incorporates within the blend additional humic substances obtained from naturally occurring leonardite. By blending these two ingredients together, Edwards Agricultural Supplies have created a product that works in synergy with the plant and soil. Acting as an organic catalyst it stimulates plant enzymes, increase’s proliferation of desirable soil micro-organisms, stimulates root growth and increases root respiration and formation. It also increases the germination and viability of seeds and promotes the development of chlorophyll, sugars and amino acids in plants which support photosynthesis, it assists in the thickening of cell walls in fruits which will prolong their storage and shelf life.
Edwards Advanced Seaweed increases plant production and enables plants to absorb more of the nutrients. Application improves soil structure and increases the crops yield and nutritional value. In drought conditions as it helps the soil to retain water whilst boosting the aeration of the soil and preventing surface cracking, it also improves resistance to stress caused by drought. Beneficial to both the land, environment, it helps prevent soil erosion and reduces leaching of chemicals into the watercourse, giving long term economic and ecological benefits.
All these benefits for as little as £14 per acre if purchased in an IBC or £20 per acre in 10 Litre drums.
