rolls out Pfizer 2nd dose
T he provincial government of Negros Oriental has conducted the second dose of vaccinations for the Pfizer vaccine for residents who received this US brand a few weeks ago.
The inoculation against coronavirus disease 2019 was held at the Lamberto Macias Sports Center here from July 16 until Sunday, July 18.

565 NegOr studes get college grants
each of 565 deserving college students a P5,000 financial grant for the second semester of the school year 2020-2021. Capitol information officer Bimbo Miraflor, in an interview, said the total amount of assistance is taken from the General Fund of the province for the Student Financial Assistance Program of Gov. Roel Degamo’s administration. Miraflor said the grant is for the students’ allowances after the provincial government announced it would be giving free college education to those enrolled in public institutions.
The provincial government previously offered scholarships to indigent but deserving students but it was cut short after the national government’s free education program started, he said. Degamo, after being elected governor in 2011, again implemented the scholarship program but this time giving grants for allowances to pre-identified recipients, he added.

domestic commercial flights to and from Negros Oriental via the Dumaguete-Sibulan airport on weekends, a key official of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines here said on Friday.
