THE GUIDE SUSTAINABLE TOURISM 2021

Travelling abroad has always exacted a heavy carbon footprint. But when you’re only hopping across the Channel to visit your neighbours, there are ways to reduce the size of that footprint.

First off, don’t fl y; take the train or ferry instead. And when you arrive in France, opt for accommodation and travel that has good green credentials. Over the following pages you’ll see some great suggestions: everything from national parks and nature reserves to sustainable campsites, organic farms and zero-carbon transport.

As with all tourism right now, check on Covid-19 restrictions before you travel. Written by Dominic Bliss
