Rudi is a five-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross at Dogs Trust Ilfracombe who is looking for a forever home.
You cannot help but fall in love with Rudi’s sweet, gentle, loveable nature. Although he can be worried initially by new people, it does not take him too long to build a bond. Once he knows you, he is quite the soppy boy; he adores fuss and snuggles and is very affectionate with his human friends.
Rudi really enjoys showing off his tricks, especially in return for treats and praise. He’s a big fan of his toys and his favourites are the soft, squeaky ones.
Rudi will need quiet walks in rural locations as too much noise can worry himand his adopters will need to be clued-up about his body language so they can reassure him when he is feeling anxious. He is slowly building up his social skills with other dogs and is currently working towards walking alongside calm, friendly dogs who are happy to trot next to him with little interaction.
Rudi is a sensitive dog who thrives on routine. He will require a slow introduction to his new home, with multiple visits needed for him to feel safe and comfortable before adoption. Potential adopters will need to ideally live within an hour of the rehoming centre for the team to accommodate this during the restrictions. Rudi is looking for an adult-home in a nice quiet location where he is the only pet and can have access to a secure garden.
