Call to Worship


Churches Together in Daventry held this special annual service on ‘live’ Zoom, joining in a world wide wave of prayer throughout the day on 5th March.


Based on the parable Jesus told about the wise man who built his house upon a rock and the foolish person who built on sand, (Matthew 7:24-25 ) the service began with a pre-recorded video of a Bible being placed on the table and a candle lit by Lilian Richardson. This scene and a display about Vanuatu took place in Daventry URC and was shown accompanied by Vanuatuan music. Thanks to Anne Haynes and Ann Pells for providing stones and objects for the display.
