Letter from the Minister

as we walked alongside Jesus remembering what He went through for us and others.

G

I think Easter is a time we are encouraged, as followers of Jesus Christ, to stand up against injustices in our society. Jesus led us in the way of challenging the status quo. Jesus has called us to follow in His footsteps. Jesus challenged the temple authorities who had turned the House of God “into a den of robbers”. Jesus could have turned a blind eye, but He did not. I want to believe that as the light and salt of this world, we are called to shine a light into those dark corners of our society and help those who are held in captivity to receive their freedom. Jesus said: “The Spirit of the Lord is on me and He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.” (Luke 4:18-19). Remember, that those who are oppressing people and holding them as prisoners will not take your efforts lightly as we learn from the experiences that Jesus went through during the Easter

reetings to you all in the name of our crucified and raised from the dead, Lord Jesus Christ. I hope you took the time of Lent to reflect on your individual relationship with God
