The text is designed to be used by all levels of providers for the care of acutely ill or injured patients, and covers the full scope of emergency and acute care. It addresses both out-of-hospital and in-hospital interventions, and provides diagnostic and management strategies for the most common emergency care problems faced by providers in Africa.
