New Supply Chain Employment Program and Micro-Credential for southern Alberta
Teamworks Career Centre, on behalf of the Alberta Ministry of Labour and Immigration, and in partnership with CITT (Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation) has successfully launched a new government funded employment program for unemployed Albertans to transition into new careers in supply chain. The supply chain industry has been identified as one of the fastest growing sectors in southern Alberta and will continue to create many of the new jobs of the future.
EligibleAlbertans can participate in this 15-week employment programat no cost and will be able to maintain employment insurance benefits, if applicable, during training.“This new programis a tremendous opportunity for unemployed individuals of all ages and backgrounds to find employment in this valuable and growing sector” states RyanMiller, President and CEO of Teamwork Training Ltd.“The programis also of significant benefit tomany local employers who require supply chain related skills to grow their business.”
This program also includes an exciting new partnership with CITT (Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation) and the development of a first
of its kind Micro-Credential in Transportation and Logistics in Canada. The Micro-Credential will provide graduates with a nationally recognized industry certification and a head start towards a professional designation in supply chain.
