Members’ Survey
Important insights
MANY thanks to the hundreds of members who took the time to complete the survey included in the July issue of Scottish Wildlife. Feedback from our valued membership helps us to understand what’s important to you. Here are a few of the initial results from the survey:
• More than a quarter of you visit the Trust’s website on a monthly basis, but nearly a fifth of you have never been on the website. This reiterates to us the importance of offering both digital and paper-based communication to our members.
• Around 66% of you said that one of the main reasons for visiting the Trust’s website was for information on our reserves. We endeavour to keep these pages as up-to-date as possible, so it’s a good idea to check a reserve page
One in five members said they visit reserves on a monthly basis.
before visiting.
• More than half of you said that you have visited between one and five reserves, and that you visit reserves once or twice a year. Why not explore a new reserve this winter and share your experiences with us by post or social media?
• More than 75% of you said that you value our reserves primarily as safe havens
And we were delighted to see almost 45% of respondents have considered leaving a gift in their Will. If you would like any information relating to how you can leave a gift to the Trust in your Will, or would like help in writing or changing your Will free of charge, please contact Liz Eadie on 0131 312 4772.

• More than 85% of you said that making a difference to wildlife conservation was one of the most important benefits of your membership. We love to hear this, because members provide an incredibly important foundation to all our work to protect Scotland’s wildlife.
